Cookies Notice

CDPQ Infra deems it essential to inform you clearly and transparently about the use of cookies before you browse this site. This Cookies Notice describes the information that CDPQ Infra is likely to collect and how it will be used. CDPQ Infra will not collect information that can identify you by name, directly or indirectly, unless you voluntarily communicate that information by responding to specific forms.

In this Notice, the terms that are not defined in the main text are defined in APPENDIX 1: Definitions.

1.    What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a set of data stored on the hard drive of your terminal (computer, tablet, mobile) through your browser software when you consult an online service. Cookies are widely used by websites. They support the operation of the site or improve navigation and also provide certain information, especially in terms of visitor numbers, to the site owners.

Cookies do not damage your terminal, and they make it easier, for example, to retrieve preferences, auto-fill some fields and adapt the service content of the website. This information improves the site ergonomics and services, based on your interests.

2.    What types of cookies do we use?

The information gathered by our cookies helps us analyze the use of our site and offer users a better experience when they visit. We only keep the cookies for the period required to achieve the relevant objectives set out in this Notice, including statistical purposes.

In general, we use first-party and third-party cookies which may be either session or persistent. The cookies we use are called “first-party cookies” and the cookies our partners and service providers use are called “third-party cookies.”

  • Session cookies

Session cookies are temporary cookies that remain on your device until you close your web browser. Many session cookies are essential to the proper operation of our website, because they allow you to navigate on our site and use our features.

  • Persistent cookies

Persistent cookies stay on your device after you close your browser or until you manually delete them (in the first case, how long the cookie lasts depends on its lifespan and your browser settings, but the lifespan is limited to 13 months). Persistent cookies help us recognize you as an existing user of our website. This makes it easier and more convenient for you to return to our website or interact with our services without having to log back in. Persistent cookies also help us recognize you when you consult a resource that belongs to our site from another website or an application (such as an advertisement) and help us record information about your browsing habits during the cookie’s lifespan.

  • Social media cookies

Our website offers some features from third-party sites, including some social media sites. These features may be accompanied by scripts or other features that read and sometimes place cookies from those social media networks on your device. These cookies may be used to personalize advertising messages. Although we do not have access to these cookies or any control over those networks – which are responsible for their own processing – or over the information they collect, including data transfers outside of the European Union for networks located in the United States, we deem it important to mention them so you are fully and clearly informed that their use may require your consent. Analytics tools and other third-party technologies

We use analytical tools and other third-party technologies, such as Google Analytics.

  • Why do we use them? To automatically collect information of a non-personal nature. For example, the website uses Google Analytics to understand how users use the website. This allows us to analyze the traffic on the site or determine its future direction, including any required upgrades.

4. How to accept or decline the use of cookies
