Jean-Philippe Pelletier

Vice-President, TramCité, CDPQ Infra

Jean-Philippe Pelletier has been Vice-President of the TramCité project at CDPQ Infra since December 2024. In this role, he leads the project team based in Québec City, represents the project with various partners, and oversees its progress.

A project management engineer specializing in major infrastructure initiatives, he has over 20 years of experience managing complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. Prior to his appointment as Vice-President, he was Senior Director of the western segment of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). In that role, he notably led the refurbishment of the Mount Royal Tunnel and managed, in collaboration with suppliers, the impacts of discovering still-active century-old explosives and the challenges related to the accelerated deterioration of the southern vault. This achievement earned numerous innovation awards and recognitions for the partners involved.

Before joining CDPQ Infra, Jean-Philippe Pelletier worked at the Agence métropolitaine de transport (exo), the engineering firm SNC-Lavalin, and the American multinational USG.

Jean-Philippe Pelletier holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a graduate diploma in philosophy and applied ethics from Université de Sherbrooke.
