Daniel Farina
President and Chief Executive Officer and Director, CDPQ Infra
Daniel Farina has been President and Chief Executive Officer of CDPQ Infra since January 2026. In this role, he is responsible for the team as well as the development and management of the subsidiary’s projects, in addition to serving on its Board of Directors. From September 2023 until his appointment as President, he was General Manager of CDPQ Infra, providing overall leadership for its activities.
Daniel Farina has more than 25 years of experience in managing and structuring major infrastructure projects around the world. He has played a key role in large-scale transactions in the healthcare, energy, and highway and rail transportation sectors. Before being appointed General Manager, he served as Vice-President of Operations.
Prior to joining CDPQ Infra in 2019, he worked for the multinational OHLA Group, where he oversaw the largest public-private partnership (PPP) project in Québec, the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM).
Throughout his career, he has also held positions as engineer, manager and director for various infrastructure projects in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
Educated in Spain, Daniel Farina holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering. He has also completed an Executive MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid, as well as executive leadership programs at the business schools of Stanford and Harvard Universities in the United States.
Daniel Farina is a member of the Order of Industrial Engineers of Madrid and serves on several Boards of Directors, including those of the Infrastructure Council, the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships and Conservation de la nature Québec. He is also a member of the Quebec Regional Advisory Board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
